Our Product Selection Philosophy
We at Town & Country Air Conditioning strongly believe that in order to provide our clients with the right product for their specific application it is our obligation to provide a variety of leading brand equipment in order to provide an accurate selection of product.
It is our professional opinion that no one manufacturer has the best for all types of air conditioning applications. Therefore our stringent selection process is detailed and dependant on conducting a thorough site consultation in which we evaluate:
- Type of construction of home or premises.
- Insulation characteristics.
- Amount of glass within area to be air conditioned.
- Type of glazing on windows.
- Impact of skylights or shaded and unshaded windows areas.
- Directional aspect of premises.
- Internal influences to heat load (eg: Computer, TV’s, refrigerators, lighting etc.)
- External influences on heat loads (eg: Shading from trees, carports etc.)
- Ceiling – pitch and access to roof space.
- Type of flooring (eg: ventilation, concrete slab, conditioned area below etc.)
- No. of people to occupy area and level of activity (eg: sitting / heavy activity etc.)
- Fresh Air requirements.
- Outdoor ascetics (eg: guttering, down pipes etc.)
And finally, cubic volume / square meterage of desired air conditioned area.
Unfortunately, the majority of systems sold throughout retails outlets, discount appliance and department stores primarily base their selection on the square meterage of the area. Therefore, consumers have NO PROTECTION when the system eventually fails to operate to requirements.
A word of warning: This leads to consumer dissatisfaction and proves to be a costly mistake. A fact supported by several manufacturers who only provide their product to specialists such as ourselves.
